Gibson Les Paul 58 Standard Limited "Aged Black over Gold" (2017)

This '58 Les Paul Standard comes from the limited edition “Painted Over” series. The aim of this series was to recreate the look of the genuine old Les Pauls that were repainted in the 1950s and 1960s. To make it even more authentic the series was also artificially aged. Simply a stunning look! This is how you would imagine it, if someone repainted an original '58 Goldtop black back then and then played it in really nicely. Comfortable, easy-grip '58 neck that fits perfectly in your hand. Not quite as fat as some '58 necks, but slightly thicker the Rock Paula. Beautifully balanced sound without muddiness, differentiated with a tight bass. Fantastic tone with lots of character and great response. Fat, assertive and smacking sound with just the right amount of midrange! A perfect Rock axe that's made for screaming solos and biting riffs. What's more, it weighs in at an ideal 3910 grams. So it's no wonder that this Les Paul has been played a lot and with great pleasure in recent years, which is evident in the form of "Natural Aging", i.e. some signs of wear and tear (especially on the back of the guitar). Otherwise this gem, which is definitely every player's dream, is in very good condition.
