Here we have another highlight of the collaboration between Musikhaus Hermann and the Gibson Custom Shop: a "Memphis with Mojo"! We are incredibly excited to offer you this absolute dream guitar today, produced in extremely limited numbers and of course with exclusive MHH features. The guys at the Murphy Lab have done a fantastic job with the ultra heavy aging process: the beautifully figured, premium flame top, personally selected by Jörg Hermann, is covered with countless hairline cracks and blemishes of varying sizes. The characteristic areas display the most authentic paint wear and on top of that we're dealing with a custom finish in the exceptionally attractive "Antique Enhanced Faded Burst with Red Shadow" color. Yes, even we rarely get to see such a magnificent instrument! But this special Les Paul also delivers a truly impressive sound. The guitar resonates beautifully even acoustically; without an amplifier, you immediately sense the dry, woody character of a very good, well-loved vintage guitar. Fast response, superb resonance, fantastic sustain, growling bass, crisp mids and sparkling highs. The unamplified, top-notch tone is transferred to the amp in the best possible way by the two unpotted "Murphy Spec" Custombuckers, modeled after vintage PAFs. The specially underwound neck pickup is warm, transparent and three-dimensional with clean amp settings, and the bass is never muddy or indistinct. With higher gain settings you hear the so-called "bloom effect", the blossoming of the tone for which vintage PAF pickups are famous. Whether you're playing Michael Bloomfield, Billy Gibbons or Gary Moore — anything is possible here! The bridge pickup, in turn, impresses with snap, punch and a satisfying sizzle, depending on the gain setting, without ever being overly aggressive. Crisp riffs come through with the same natural ease as chunky chords or fat leads. The playability of the "Memphis with Mojo" with its dream weight of just 3490 grams and the fantastic medium "MHH CC Seven 1959 to 1960 Fine Rounded Authentic" neck profile is absolutely top-notch!
