When white gloves are part of the Case Candy, you know it's getting serious. What a gem from the hands of masters Ed Wilson and Tom Murphy! For the twentieth anniversary of the Historic Reissue series in 2013, the two collaborated to build the most accurate '59 Reissue to date. Tom Murphy handpicked the best tops for this and painted all guitars in a historically accurate sunburst with special nitro lacquer, just like the first 25 1993 reissues. Only 100 of this series were built, all now extremely sought-after collector's items. Of course, all of them already have the coveted 2013 specs including the then brand new Custombuckers. So this Paula with its wildly flamed top is not only a visual highlight, but also sonically Les Paul at its best! Fantastic neck with the exact, original '59 shaping, not too thick, just perfect in the hand. Great tone and sustain. Resonant, three-dimensional and very airy sound. The pickups really do an excellent job here. Last but not least, the dream weight of 3.78 kg also contributes to the fact that we are dealing with an amazing Les Paul for every collector and player! The guitar is in top condition including the frets. And the fact that Tom Murphy has personally signed the electronics compartment increases the rarity value of this dream guitar even more.
