Gibson Les Paul 59 CC#1 Melvyn Franks "Greeny" VOS (2011)

The CC#1 "Greeny" Melvyn Franks is certainly the most sought-after and best-known Collectors Choice. In the aged version it is almost impossible to obtain and now commands prices in excess of EUR 35,000. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer you another one of these gems in the VOS version. Only 300 specimens of this replica of the Les Paul were made, which was owned by Gary Moore and Peter Green and now still sees the light of the biggest stages with Kirk Hammett. And this "Greeny" can also fascinate with its enchanting top. Very close to the original it has a great Lemon Burst and a wonderful grain that results in a super authentic look. The best playability is guaranteed by the 59-Medium neck profile, which feels fabulous in the hand. And there's probably not much more to say about the characteristic sound. Like all the "Greenys" we've had in our hands so far this guitar also vibrates dryly at its finest and the amp really shines, including the characteristic "Out of Phase" sound. The original was made particularly famous by Gary Moore in his "Still Got the Blues" era. And it is precisely this sound that immediately comes to mind when you play the Les Paul. The sound literally jumps out at you. Incredibly direct and open. You can work brilliantly with the tone. The neck pickup sings perfectly. Another absolute hit in terms of sound! VOS "Greenys" are extremely rare to come by and therefore naturally retain their value very well. The fact that you can save around EUR 20,000 compared to the original version should put a grin on every collector's face. The guitar comes to its future owner including the frets in top condition.
