CC11 "Rosie": one of the best sounding Collectors Choice guitars, but unfortunately hard to get anymore. The original, the 1959 Les Paul with serial number 9 0925, which the strictly limited Custom Shop edition of the CC11 is modeled after, certainly represents the ultimate collector's dream. In its lifetime it changed hands only once and moreover it was taken out of the case only extremely rarely. Accordingly its condition is true to the original: not only does it show hardly any signs of use, but also the original color ("Factory Burst") has remained relatively unchanged over the years. Gibson dedicated a replica to this guitar in 2013 in the Collectors Choice series and, as with the original, you initially think you're holding a brand-new '59 in your hand. Only at second glance do you notice the subtle signs of aging in the varnish. The top with its interesting grain and the rich red is simply an absolute eye-catcher and together with the slight aging you have a guitar with character in your hand. But not only that. It also offers the best player characteristics: the neck with the Late-50s Soft-V profile is great in the hand and even without amp the resonance and the top vibration behavior is really fun. At the amp Rosie really delivers some steam. She hisses and smacks that it is a real pleasure. Attack, sustain, warmth, transparency - everything is present in abundance. Whether as a value investment or player guitar, with Rosie you get a phenomenal Les Paul in your house. Our copy with number 037 is in mint condition.
