Brad Whitford was involved in Aerosmith's commercial breakthrough in the early 1970s as the band's rhythm guitarist - along with his 1959 Gibson Les Paul. This legendary guitar was meticulously measured and toned by the Gibson Custom Shop in 2014 to create an exact replica within the Collector's Choice series. We can offer you the copy of this model with serial number 071. Color and aging are really super authentic and the top is a real feast for the eyes with its clear but not excessive flame. With the ideal weight of 3.8 kg, it feels very comfortable right from the start and plays like a charm thanks to the Medium-59 neck profile with Rounded Shoulders. Sound-wise, you're in Burst heaven here, too: acoustically very direct and resonant, the two custom-wound pickups add plenty of poundage to the amp. Despite all the sustain and fullness of sound, the guitar always remains snappy, transparent and percussive - just like you know it from the old Bursts. A fantastic player guitar, but like any collector's choice Les Paul can also score with best value retention. We can offer you the "Whitford Burst" in top condition.
