Today we are delighted to offer you a truly special guitar. This is an absolute one-of-a-kind instrument, certainly unique in the world. A Collectors Choice CC#4 "Sandy" was entrusted to none other than Florian Jäger for a Bavarian Makeover II. He removed the original finish, filled the mahogany pores on the back with historically accurate aniline filler, then applied Jäger nitrocellulose lacquer using authentic aniline dyes, created a glossy vintage patina, rounded the fretboard edges (rolled binding edges) for the inimitable feel of well-played, old instruments and reworked the neck to achieve a genuine '59 profile. But that's not all! Furthermore, he reworked the top's arching to achieve vintage-correct contours, created a beautiful recurve, installed authentic Mazzucchelli cellulose nitrate inlays and printed the Les Paul logo in historically accurate gold. However, three unique aspects deserve special mention: Jäger also replaced the original fretboard with Brazilian rosewood (naturally with the necessary CITES certificate), even stamping the actual serial number of the original Sandy (#9 1228) using the authentic typeface and finished the guitar in the legendary "Pearly Gates Burst". Given all these details it's certainly no surprise that this Les Paul with its pronounced top grain looks fantastic. One only needs to look at the amazing aging to fully appreciate Jäger's meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, the hardware has been upgraded with "Aged DMC" parts to perfect the vintage look. ...and the guitar plays incredibly well thanks to the aforementioned "real" '59 neck profile and a dream weight of just 3690 grams. Soundwise, this beauty definitely fulfills every wish one could have for a '59 Les Paul! Even played acoustically you immediately recognize how resonant the Les Paul is and its extremely long sustain. Amplified it really rocks, sounding remarkably articulate and balanced with plenty of its own character and a very fast attack. This is primarily due to the phenomenal Throbak (PG-102 MXV) pickups that the previous owner added to further enhance the Les Paul's sound. Such an exclusive, irreplaceable dream instrument, which we can offer you in top condition except for the minimal trace of a guitar stand on the back, should not be missed by any means. Especially considering that the customization work carried out by Florian Jäger alone costs nearly EUR 5,000.
