Gibson Les Paul 59 Collector's Choice CC29 Tamio Okuda Aged (2015)

It's really rare that a Collector's Choice 29 Tamio Okuda arrives at our door. All the more we are happy to offer you a fantastic example of the limited series of 300 pieces. This guitar came as Aged or VOS version, we offer you with No. 146 the aged version. The aging here is heavy on the backside and rather subtle on the front and gives the guitar, which is modeled after the '59 original of Japanese producer and guitar legend Tamio Okuda, an authentic vintage patina. In terms of specs, the CC29 comes up with some special features. For one, you get a really beefy neck here, more reminiscent of a '58 than a '59. However, this is very pleasantly shaped and thus exactly the right thing for all those who want to make zero sacrifices in playing comfort and still really hold something in the hand. On the other hand, '57 Classic Humbuckers are installed here, which come along a bit more treble-heavy than the usual Custombucker. Here it really pearls out of the speakers - just like you know it from many original PAF humbuckers. Nevertheless, the guitar never gets harsh, neither clean nor distorted, but masters the whole frequency spectrum of the classic burst sound in the most beautiful way. In combination with the neck's mass, you get a banger sound with massive sustain! Last but not least, we have to point out the weight of only 3.7 kg, which is really incredibly light for a CC Burst.
