Gibson Les Paul 59 Collectors Choice CC#16 "Redeye" (2013)

€8,990 *

What an incredibly attractive Les Paul! An amazing top with a great color gradient, gorgeous grain, subtle aging and of course the characteristic “Red Eye” that gives this Collector's Choice its name. The original '59 model owned by Ed King – former guitarist with Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others – has been meticulously replicated here, giving this Paula a super authentic look that perfectly recreates the appearance of an old Burst. This impression is further enhanced when you look at the back of this Redeye, which is already fantastically “faded,” so that the original dark red—as with the originals from the golden '59 vintage—is only visible in places. Even when played dry, the CC#16 resonates exceptionally well and sounds really full, voluminous, resonant and balanced. Once you plug it into an amp you won't be able to wipe the grin off your face. The Redeye smacks, speaks and sings with superb dynamics. In terms of sound, it's truly top class! What's more, this fantastic instrument weighs only 3995 grams and has an extremely comfortable '59 Medium neck, making it so easy to play that you'll want to spend hours flying across the attractive rosewood fretboard. Limited to just 300 speimens this Paula is a Collector's Choice model that is sure to retain its value. Apart from minor signs of wear on the first few frets it is in top condition and ready to go to its future owner, whom we would like to congratulate on the purchase of this magnificent instrument.
