There are guitars that knock your socks off as soon as you open the case. This is also the case here. What a beautiful Les Paul! Awesome top with a great color gradient, gorgeous grain, discreet aging and of course the characteristic "red eye", which serves as the namesake for this Collectors Choice. Meticulously replicated here is the '59 original by Ed King - former guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others - giving this Paula a super authentic look that perfectly recreates the appearance of an old Burst. This impression is only reinforced when you look at the back of the Redeye, which is already fantastically "faded" so that the original dark red - as on the originals from the golden era - is only visible in places. Even when played dry it resonates above average and sounds really full, resonant and balanced. At the amp you can't get the grin off your face. This Redeye smacks, speaks, sings with a super dynamic. Soundwise absolute upper class! In addition, this fantastic instrument with only 3995 grams and its extremely comfortable 59 medium neck plays simply outstanding, so that you want to flit for hours over the attractive rosewood fingerboard. This Paula is limited to 300 specimens and as a Collectors Choice of course also ensures best value retention. Except for small playing marks on the first frets it comes to its future owner in top condition, whom we would like to congratulate on the acquisition of this gem already now.
