Gibson Les Paul 59 Joe Bonamassa "Skinnerburst" Aged (2014)

Only 100 pieces were built in the Aged version of the Joe Bonamassa Skinnerburst! It belongs to the highlites of the so-called "Inspired by" series, is of course long sold out and virtually no longer available on the used market. And we still know only a few Les Pauls that reproduce the real old burst feeling as faithfully as the 2014 replica of Joe Bonamassa’s 1959 "Skinnerburst". With this guitar the top comes in a beautiful Lemonburst with a super-authentic grain as you know it from the "old" - with a clear flame, but not too intrusive. Tom Murphy’s top aging completes the vintage look, but the real fun starts when you pick up the guitar. The neck feels so comfortable thanks to the ideal 59 profile with rounded shoulders as if you were slipping into an old sneaker. Even without an amp you could limp down for hours, also thanks to the airy and direct sound. The previous owner has upgraded this guitar by fitting Joe-Bonamassa Custom Shop pickups (soldered cleanly and the original Custombuckers are of course included). This wonderful dry sound is excellently transferred to the amp by the Bonamassa CS pickups, which remind in their vintage sound of old PAFs - mud is missing, this guitar lives right! Juicy Les Paul sound with a lot of depth, dynamics and three-dimensionality and a sparkling basic character. In addition, the pleasant weight of 4035 grams - here you really get the complete package.
