Gibson Les Paul 59 Murphy Lab Authentic Aged Factory Special (2021)

Here we have a special treat for you: this Paula belongs to the limited "Factory Special" series of Musikhaus Hermann. This series is characterized by the fact that as a special production for Musikhaus Hermann it has various deviations from the regular series that are subject to an additional charge. For example Jörg Hermann personally handselected the wood for this guitar in the Gibson Custom Shop, which resulted in a beautifully flamed top and an ultra-light total weight of the guitar of only 3670 grams. Furthermore you will find a special finish in Custom Antique Lemon Burst and an outstanding refinement by the Murphy Lab, the so-called Authentic Aging. This is based on the well-known Ultra Light Aging, but does without the usual "dings" and "dongs", so that the guitar only shows subtly differentiated hairline cracks and a stunning vintage patina. The neck profile and pickup also received special treatment: we have a slightly slimmer Medium-'59 neck profile that fits nicely in the hand and invites to hours of playing. The Slightly-Underwound-Custombuckers deliver exactly what you want from a reference Paula: the sound is incredibly airy, transparent and comes with exactly the mids and pearly highs you associate with old PAFs. Plug it into the amp and it's smacky, fat and as soon as you've played a few licks you don't want to let this dream player out of your hands. Whether Jazz, Blues or Hard Rock - this Les Paul serves everything with flying colors. The list price at the end of 2021 was well over EUR 8000.
