...and another delicacy from the early years of the Gibson Custom Shop: a 1994 Paula, lacquered by Tom Murphy, again from the so-called "Good Wood" era, which is also where the Custom Shop's roots lie. When you take a close look at this Les Paul you will understand why these guitars are the most beautiful, best-sounding and perfect Les Pauls ever. Phenomenal top grain, fantastic bookmatching and a truly enchanting color gradient! This magnificent guitar was varnished by Tom Murphy himself, who only "painted" the first 200 Paulas himself in 1994, which of course has a highly positive effect on the collector's value and value retention. The guitar has a medium 59 neck profile, which is super comfortable and together with an ideal weight of 3830 grams and the slightly higher frets guarantees the best playing comfort. Even when played dry the guitar enchants with its wonderful vibration behavior, simply great resonance. When played through an amp the Les Paul reveals a sound dimension that is thrilling all round. Every little nuance is reproduced, incredible tone, super fast response, smacking, differentiated PAF sound with great overtones and sufficient mids. Whether singing Gary Moore sounds, slightly distorted Blues sounds or catchy clean tones, here you get everything in absolute top form.
