In 2013 Gibson USA honored with the "Gary Moore Les Paul Standard" the much too early and completely unexpectedly deceased guitarist of the century, who wrote music history and influenced generations of musicians with Skid Row, Thin Lizzy and later as a solo artist. Enormously versatile but always full of emotion was the music of Gary Moore. Both in the energetic Rock and Metal of the 70s and 80s and in the Blues of the 90s and 2000s, he knew how to give voice to his instruments and express maximum emotion. If in the 1980s it was especially Charvel's Superstrats, later his playing is inseparable from the 1959 Les Paul Standard originally belonging to Peter Green, now owned by Metallica's Kirk Hammett. Replicas of "Greeny" have been released several times over the years by the Gibson Custom Shop in strictly limited editions and their prices are now reaching dizzying heights. So we are pleased to offer you here a much more affordable Greeny variant from Gibson USA. This Les Paul Standard, whose body is finished in a beautiful Lemonburst gloss finish without binding, certainly comes with the characteristic combination of top-hat and reflector pot knobs. The punchy Rock sound is produced by two Burstbuckers Pro. Exceptionally lively and if necessary aggressive, at the same time warm and with an excellent sustain, this unique Paula lets us tread the "Parisienne Walkways" again. Playability is fantastic here due to the beefier "50s Rounded" neck, which only enhances the excellent playing characteristics of this guitar. The guitar comes from a collector and is therefore in absolute top condition except for a few smaller signs of use.
