Actually the Gibson Map guitars were built for promotional purposes only and in a very small quantity. As you can easily see, the body shows the outline of the USA. This particular model here was played by Billy Gibbons at a promo event in the 80's and the owner of this map guitar bought it right away from the event. Unfortunately there are no pictures of Mr. Gibbons with the guitar anymore and therefore no celebrity bonus is charged here. You wouldn't believe it, but this Map Guitar is just a really good player with a great sound. Very open, dynamic and differentiated. And the pleasant medium neck plays great with the new frets. If you are looking for a really exceptional Gibson with cult character, you will certainly enjoy this guitar. The guitar is in top condition!
