Gibson SG "Zappa" Roxy Frank Zappa (2013)

With this super rare Frank Zappa Roxy SG Gibson celebrates the life and legacy of a composer and musician who fought tirelessly to break down the walls between Jazz, Rock, Pop and classical music. With its heavily modified electronics, traditional maestro-style vibrola to the mismatched white headstock, this Gibson Zappa Roxy is as close to Zappa's original guitar as it gets. Never one to settle for the conventional, Zappa reinvented his SG to give him an expanded range of sounds. The Roxy SG is equipped with a pair of "57 Classics" with 4-conductor wires that deliver the classic PAF tone and much more. The pickups are controlled by two mini toggle switches, which can be used to call up both tapped singlecoil tones and phase-shifted tones. Add to that a standard 3-way pickup selector switch and there's no limit to the sound you can get out of this Gibson Frank Zappa Roxy SG. Top playability due to the flatter 60's neck and Jumbo frets. Only 400 specimens of these were built and they are almost impossible to find on the second-hand market! The guitar has a few minor traces of wear, but the frets are in top condition.
