This 000-28 from the Martin Custom Shop is simply a masterpiece! It features a fantastic Adirondack spruce top as well as back and sides made from beautiful Madagascar rosewood, which is now almost impossible to find. Furthermore it has a comfortable, medium “Modified Low Oval” neck profile, which ensures optimum playing comfort and excellent string action. In addition, it features high-quality open tuners for excellent tuning stability, a faux tortoise pickguard, elegant “Diamonds and Squares” fingerboard inlays, and of course the typical herringbone decoration around the body. The classic vintage look is even enhanced by treating the top with aging toner, adding a beautiful patina to the guitar's finish. In addition to its elegant appearance this fine instrument impresses above all with its superbly balanced and rich sound. Despite its small size the 000-28 produces a voluminous and orchestral tone that also conveys a warm note. Rich bass, pleasant mids, and brilliant highs — balanced in all dynamic ranges, both with flatpick and fingerstyle. You'll want to play slower and slower to really savor every single note.
