Punchy, loud and precise... these are the core characteristics of a Martin D-18. In full solid construction it is ideally suited for both expressive strumming and fingerstyle. An absolute classic, it is modeled after Martin's old vintage models in that the Sitka spruce top has been given an aging toner that takes away the usual "garish brightness" from the start and gives the guitar a classic, understated and timeless vintage look. A perfect match with the high quality open tuners for excellent tuning stability and the faux tortoise pickguard. The modern, relatively flat Modified Low/High Performance Taper neck profile has become one of the most popular Martin neck profiles and is super comfortable and pleasant in the hand. So it's just wonderful to flit across the gorgeous, deep dark ebony fingerboard. The D-18 is the mahogany version of the D-28 and so the back and sides made of this precious wood give the guitar a clear, warm and extremely midrange sound. We are happy to be able to offer you this Dreadnought in top condition except for a few minimal signs of use on the back.
