With a Martin D-28 Reimagined you are acquiring a dreadnought of the highest quality that will delight not only your ears and hands, but also your eyes in a classic, traditional way. Innovation is in the details here, as this musical icon, redesigned in 2017, has been given some modern features. Elements such as open tuners, a toned top and an artificial tortoiseshell pickguard have been retained of course, but to give the guitar a more modern feel it has been given a new neck profile and new, more powerful top bracing. The Sitka spruce top now features forward-shifted X-bracing, while the neck is made of selected hardwood and has a matte back, the extremely comfortable Low Oval profile and a deep dark ebony fingerboard. The nut and saddle are made of bone, the back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. But what interests us most, of course, is the sound of this magnificent instrument. And here it really draws from the full range! Although the guitar has not been played much it develops a fantastic frequency spectrum. Classic, balanced and powerful D-28 sound. This acoustic guitar is loud and voluminous, yet despite its assertiveness it also displays sufficient warmth, extreme differentiation and presence. Suitable for both fingerpicking and strumming.
