John Mayer, guitar virtuoso and brilliant songwriter, is probably one of the most famous musicians of modern times. Essential to his acoustic sound have always been Martin guitars. The first collaboration between John Mayer and Martin Guitars saw the launch of a strictly limited signature model. After that they wanted to go a step further and launch a more affordable model. Thus, the Martin OMJM was born. Based on the OM-28 John Mayer and Martin Guitars developed this signature model, which features back and sides made of East Indian rosewood and a top made of Engelmann spruce. This sounds a bit softer and warmer as the usual Sitka spruce, which fits in nicely with the mellow melodies of John's songwriting. The neck width is a svelte 42.8mm. Combined with the Low-Oval neck profile the result is a neck that is super comfortable in the hand and makes the acoustic guitar easy to play for electric guitarists as well. For a classy look: abalone soundhole rosette and very special fretboard inlays including signature at the 20th fret. Each Martin OMJM John Mayer Signature comes with a very high quality case including John Mayer emblem. Not only for fans a very interesting model, it represents the perfect combination of a classic look, best playability and soft-voluminous sound. ...and for stage use a "Fishman Gold Plus Natural 1" pickup completes the unique overall package. This fantastic guitar was of course played with pleasure during the last twelve years, which is also shown by a few minor traces of use. "She's always buzzing just like neon"!
