Here we have a very special treat from Ernie Ball: a Music Man BFR Sabre HT "Duello", of which only 80 specimens exist worldwide. This "Duello" is serial number 27, which comes with a black limba body, a beautifully grained, naturally tinted maple top and "Custom Music Man HT" humbuckers. These deliver a wonderfully dynamic sound with plenty of sustain. The very best choice for fast, dynamic and differentiated Rock and Metal sounds. The high-quality flame top of this "Ball Family Reserve Sabre" is decorated with a contrasting, natural binding, which elegantly emphasizes the rough beauty of the grained maple. "Family Reserve" means that only the very best woods and materials have been used and special attention has been paid to matching the look, playing characteristics and sound. The roasted maple neck with rosewood fingerboard (10'' radius), mother-of-pearl-colored Atlante block inlays and 22 "High Profile/Wide" stainless steel frets is super comfortable to play. Great haptic, it's a real pleasure to glide over the fingerboard here! There are also fine Schaller locking tuners, a 5-way switch and a modern, extremely smooth-running Ernie Ball tremolo system. This very rare instrument comes from collector's hand and is in mint, virtually unplayed condition.
