Nik Huber Dolphin Redwood (2009)

We are delighted to be able to offer you today an extremely exclusive Dolphin from the luxury manufacturer Nik Huber. This Nik Huber Dolphin Redwood is an absolute dream in every respect. Based on the regular Dolphin the Redwood is an unbelievable lightweight, weighing in at a dream weight of just 2660 grams as a semi-hollow, but as a fully-fledged Nik Huber it is nevertheless extremely luxuriously equipped and enormously soundmighty. The lightweight is very resonant, perfectly balanced and has a woody sound. Mahogany body with a beguilingly beautiful, phenomenally grained “Exceptional Flame Redwood” top in a “Tigereye” gloss finish. This color scheme harmonizes perfectly with the elegant gold hardware. The Dolphin is equipped with humbuckers from Harry Häussel (Classic on the bridge, VIN on the neck). The amplified output on the neck produces wonderfully smacky but always defined sounds. Played clean it's nice and bell-like and distorted it's excellent for singing lead sounds! At the bridge, you shouldn't be fooled by the clean cream tone, which is warm and always clear and open. As soon as you switch on the distortion the two coils really put the pressure on: fat, assertive, dynamic and lively. The guitar is super comfortable to play thanks to the “Standard Dolphin” neck profile and the Redwood's dream weight alone guarantees the very best playing characteristics. Apart from slight signs of use, which can hardly be avoided on a guitar that is almost 16 years old with a deep dark finish, this magnificent Dolphin comes to its future owner in top condition and in its original case.
