PRS Custom 22 Private Stock Semihollow (2015)

On the one hand almost too pretty to play, on the other hand much too good to leave in the case - this is a dilemma one often has with PRS Private Stock guitars. It's also the case with this Custom-22 Semihollow. First of all, you don't know whether you're dealing with an instrument or a wooden work of art. The body is made of African ribbon mahogany, the neck and fingerboard of cocobolo and the top of one-piece maple with a spectacular wavy flame. Attention has also been paid to the small details: the backplate is not made of plastic but of mahogany, the tuning heads are also made of cocobolo. The ultra-comfortable pattern neck, the 57/08 pickups and last but not least the dream weight of just under 2.9 kg make the guitar a fantastic player's guitar. Beautifully rich and snappy, yet with plenty of "air" in the tone - that's what you want to hear from a small semi-hollow! Through the split circuit, you also get nice funky single-coil sounds out of the guitar, so that in the end it stands as a real allrounder.
