PRS Myles Kennedy Signature Black (2023)

We are delighted to offer you the first PRS Myles Kennedy Signature model, featuring a classic deep black gloss finish. What a beauty! The elegant finish is beautifully accentuated by the black pickguard, open pickups, light maple fingerboard with characteristic birds and an owl motif on the headstock. But in addition to its fantastic appearance this PRS as expected also charms with its great playing characteristics and extremely versatile sound. Myles Kennedy, known for his work with Alter Bridge, Slash and the Conspirators and his own solo recordings, is a guitarist who incorporates diverse Blues and Jazz elements into his Rock guitar playing. Paul Reed Smith wanted to take this into account when designing Myles' signature guitar. This PRS features a swamp ash body, a maple neck with 22 frets and a 25.5-inch scale length, as well as two carefully tuned PRS “Narrowfield MK” pickups that deliver the punch of humbuckers but also the sparkle of singlecoils. The pickups, their assignment and the corresponding sound result can be controlled using a 5-way switch on the one hand and a push/pull potentiometer on the other. The latter acts as a “preset tone roll-off,” allowing you to attenuate higher frequencies on the bridge pickup so you can play really fat, smacking riffs. Paul Reed Smith says, “I've watched Myles throughout his career switch between humbucker and singlecoil sounds without compromising on either side. It took us months to tune these pickups and I think they capture the balance that Myles has mastered so well.” Additional features include a PRS plate style steel bridge, vintage-style locking tuners, a bone saddle and Kennedy's geometric owl logo from his solo album “Ides of March,” which is said to represent wisdom and adaptability. The neck of the guitar also fits perfectly in the hand with its medium “Myles Kennedy” custom profile. Apart from minimal signs of play and use, which are unavoidable on a jet-black guitar with a gloss finish, the guitar including the frets comes in top condition to its future owner.
