PRS Private Stock Signature Limited Run # 30 of 100 (2011)

In 2011 Paul Reed Smith introduced not only the first multi-endorser guitar with the PRS Private Stock Signature, but also the then-novel pickup system of the splittable 408 humbuckers. Today these phenomenal pickups are best known from the PRS 408 and Paul's Guitar. Wonderfully uncompromising in terms of sound! The two pickups are incredibly rich, juicy, yet tight and defined. This is exactly how a modern Les Paul sound should sound! When the pickups are split to allow for additional sound options, one side of the humbucker is switched off, but at the same time approximately 1500 turns are added to the remaining singlecoil to compensate for the difference in volume. Unlike other guitars with a split feature, this means that there is only a barely noticeable difference in volume when switching between the two modes. ...and it is precisely for such harmonious and practical details that Paul Reed Smith is known: extremely well thought-out and optimized for the demands of the modern musician! The fact that the humbucker mode is also an absolute Les Paul killer makes this great sound package even more attractive. You'll be instantly impressed when you hear the guitar at full volume for the first time: the humbuckers deliver a rich, singing tone with just the right amount of “nasal” quality to give it a unique character. Thus, 20 years after PRS's first Signature series, another limited Signature was created. It goes without saying that no expense was spared when it came to exclusive woods, as evidenced by the African mahogany body and South American sinker mahogany neck. The beautifully grained curly maple top with its fabulous “Electric Tiger” finish looks simply fantastic.
