What is the addition "Studio" at Gibson, is called "Stripped" at PRS. This means that for the sake of the price, some of the visual delights are dispensed with without touching the basic qualities of the guitar. In the case of the SC58, the neck binding, Artist Grade top and headstock veneer had to be stripped. Apart from that, however, this is a fully-fledged SC58 with the best playing characteristics. Like the archetype, a 1958 Les Paul, the guitar comes with a rather strong neck, which is - how could it be otherwise with PRS - super comfortable to play. The sound of the two 58/15TM humbuckers is also very close to the original - nice smacky humbucker sound, but also clean always remains pearly and transparent. The massive 2-piece bridge from PRS does the rest to the voluminous and resonant sound of the guitar. The fact that the guitar remains well under 4 kg speaks for the qualities of PRS manufacturing! Apart from a few tiny traces of use in the varnish, which can only be seen in the right light, the guitar is in extremely well-kept condition.
