In this context Rainer Tausch describes on his website that the outstanding characteristics of a 665 Raw can be summarized with the following quality, construction and design features: hand-picked, carefully selected woods, high-quality hardware and electronics, pickups by Harry Häussel, 26 3/16 inch scale length (665 mm), semi-acoustic concept with continuous sustain block and glued neck joint, as well as a straightforward, perfection-oriented design that pays attention to the highest level of craftsmanship down to the smallest detail. The semi-acoustic body is made of pear wood, which gives the 665 – supported by a maple neck – a fundamental and powerful sound with astonishing tonal selectivity. The diversity here is immense as the sound of the two Häussel Tauschbucker pickups can be varied in a wide variety of ways using the 5-way switch. In positions 2 and 4 one coil of the asymmetrically wound humbucker is switched off, but Strat output values are still maintained. This means you can really satisfy any tonal desire, whether you need the typical Strat, Tele or even the characteristic “Tele on steroids” sound of a full-grown Paula. And this exclusive guitar also plays really well thanks to the 9.5-12.5'' compound radius, 22 speedy Medium Jumbo frets and the comfortable C-shaped neck profile. The fact that the guitar also looks extremely good with its exclusive “Royal Purple Metallic” finish and aged finish is just a pleasant side note for this top-of-the-line instrument.
