Gerry Beckley achieved worldwide fame as a founding member of the band "America." In 1997 Taylor Guitars dedicated a signature guitar to him, originally in a strictly limited edition of 38 instruments. However, it is said that only 32 pieces were actually built. Therefore we are extremely pleased to be able to offer you a particularly beautiful specimen from this mini-series today. ...and here one superlative follows another: "Presentation Grade" Sitka spruce top, AA flamed maple back and sides, one-piece maple neck, beautiful abalone inlays on the rosette and binding, as well as star inlays on the headstock and the deep, dark ebony fretboard. Not just elegant, but simply beautiful! Sonically, it's absolutely top-class. The guitar has an exceptionally good response, beautifully differentiated with a very wide frequency spectrum. Voluminous bass, assertive mids and silky highs. That this compact dreadnought with its medium neck profile is also wonderfully comfortable and pleasant to play is hardly surprising for an acoustic guitar from Taylor. However, the fact that it offers the ideal combination of elegant looks, superb playability, beautiful tone and exceptional rarity is, along with the practical hardshell case, truly noteworthy.
