This cutaway Grand Auditorium guitar, Taylor's most versatile body shape, combines Indian rosewood back and sides with Kona edgeburst and a natural Lutz spruce top. The visual details include a mother-of-pearl headstock logo, mother-of-pearl inlays in Belle Fleur design, a Paua rosette and koa inlays on the fingerboard and headstock. This model is also equipped with Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold. Indian rosewood on the back and sides produces deep basses and clear, sparkling trebles. The Lutz spruce top offers a wide dynamic range with additional volume, projection and sustain thanks to the sound-enhancing V-Class bracing on the inside. The body is finished with a smooth, noise-dampening “Silent Satin” finish and features beveled edges, an ebony “Curve Wing” bridge, a beveled armrest and a beveled cutaway. And even the fingerboard has rounded edges for an enormously comfortable playing feel. The medium “Standard Carve” profile of the body is also extremely conducive to this.
