Today we are delighted to offer you a very special guitar. This is an absolutely unique piece that is certainly not available anywhere else in the world in this form. A Les Paul Ace Frehley VOS was handed over to none other than Florian Jäger to give it a Bavarian Makeover 2. He removed the original VOS finish, filled the mahogany pores on the back with historically correct aniline filler, then varnished the guitar with Jäger nitrocellulose lacquer using the authentic aniline dyes, applied a greasy, shiny vintage patina, rounded off the fingerboard edges (rolled binding edges) for the inimitable playing feel of old, played-in instruments and worked on the neck so that it has a “real” '59 profile. But that's not all! He also reworked the arching of the top for vintage-correct contours, applied a beautiful recurve, used authentic “Mazzucchelli cellulose nitrate” inlays, gave the finish of the Les Paul as well as the plastic parts and hardware a phenomenal aging and printed the Les Paul logo with the historically correct gold color. But two unique points deserve special mention here: Jäger also replaced the original fingerboard with Brazilian rosewood (of course with the necessary CITES certificate) and even stamped the original serial number(!) of Ace Frehley's original Paula (# 91878) with the authentic number type. Can you get any closer to the original? After all these facts it is certainly not surprising that this Les Paul with its pronounced top grain looks great. You only have to look at the aging of the characteristic Grover tuners to fully understand Jäger's obsession with detail and meticulousness. In addition, the guitar plays really well thanks to the aforementioned “real” '59 neck profile and an ideal weight of just 3980 grams. ...and in terms of sound this gem definitely fulfills every wish you could have for a '59 Les Paul! Even when played dry you immediately recognize how resonant the Paula is and the extremely long sustain it has. When amplified, it really rocks and is extremely differentiated and balanced with a lot of character of its own and a very fast attack. Such an exclusive, irretrievable dream instrument, which we can offer you in absolute collector's condition - not to say in mint condition - should not be missed under any circumstances. Especially when you consider that the refinement carried out here by Florian Jäger alone costs almost EUR 5,000. So, get the New York groove!
