We are extremely pleased to be able to offer you another exclusive Les Paul from the limited edition “The Legend” series. ...and what Jörg Herrmann and Tom Murphy have conjured up here! “Painted by the Master himself” (as the initials "TM" in the control compartment impressively prove), “Authentic Heavy Aged by the Murphy Lab” and of course with very special MHH specs. The specially selected AAAAA top has a grain that immediately makes your mouth water. To enhance the incredible look Tom Murphy gave this gem a phenomenal finish in the special color “Enhance Murphy's Lemon” and his guys have also done a great job with the aging. The finish is covered with countless hairline cracks and dents, the characteristic areas show authentic wear and tear, but the sound also initially suggests that this is a genuine old guitar. This super-light Les Paul, weighing only 3690 grams, resonates really well even when unplugged and even without an amplifier you can immediately feel the dry, woody character of a very good, long-played vintage guitar. Fast response, great resonance, fantastic sustain, growling basses, wiry mids, and sparkling highs. The unamplified top-quality sound is transmitted to the amp in the very best manner by the two unpotted MHH Custombuckers, which were modeled after the old PAFs. With clean amp settings the neck pickup is warm, transparent, three-dimensional and never undifferentiated or muddy in the bass. With higher gain settings you can hear the so-called “bloom effect”, the blossoming of the tone for which old PAF pickups are famous. Whether Paul Bloomfield, Billy Gibbons, or Gary Moore — anything is possible! Depending on the gain setting the bridge pickup impresses with snap, punch and smack without ever being too intrusive. Crisp riffs come across just as naturally as chunky chords or fat leads. In addition, the “out-of-phase” middle position of both pickups with slightly reduced output delivers great sounds with a nasal character – you immediately hear the old Fleetwood Mac recordings with Peter Green in your ears! The fact that the playability of the “Legend” is also top notch thanks to its dream weight and optimized “MHH CC 59er to 60er Authentic” neck profile rounds off the perfect overall package in the best possible way.
