When we opened the case of this famous player, we immediately noticed the beautiful top grain and the enormously attractive “Sunburst” color in a classy VOS finish. Enchanting flame with an excellent vintage patina! The 1960 “60th Anniversary” Les Pauls are available in three neck variants with the designations V1, V2 and V3. This V2 profile is located exactly between the more powerful V1 profile and the very slim V3 profile, so that you are actually holding the perfect 60s player neck in your hand. Still powerful enough for all those who love classic Les Pauls, but slim enough for all comfort requirements. There's no need to worry that the slightly slimmer neck will steal tone with this guitar. It sings, smacks and sparkles just like you want to hear from a Burst - a perfect interplay of resonant instrument and the great Custombuckers. Very direct with a differentiated, fat sound. Attack, sustain, warmth and transparency in abundance! Whether Rock, Jazz or Blues - everything is possible here in top form! It would certainly make sense to see a “60th Anniversary” as a collector's item, but this gem is such an outstanding player with optimal workmanship and sound qualities as well as an absolutely top sound that you simply have to play it and want to present it on all the stages of the world. The previous owner took a similar view, which not only resulted in the Les Paul being perfectly swung in, but also showing a few slight signs of wear. Otherwise, the guitar is in top condition and is ready for any musical outrage.
